Hey everyone - just a heads up - having another big birthday party this year - overlapping with the FTW 1 year anniversary so we're having the bash at Privus lounge this Saturday night (May 9th, ringing in my birthday at midnight).

For those of you who don't know, Matt is deployed overseas (Iraq) in the army. I just got his mailing address and I'm going to send him a care package with some things. If anyone else would like to add anything to him or stuff in bulk for him to give out - let me know. I can arrange a pickup/dropoff situation if there's enough interest.

Just a heads up to cambridge folks - snow emergency here too, starting at noon tomorrow, check ur cars location or it may not be there next time you do.
http://www.cambridgema.gov/traffic has the streets somewhere - but in general, its just the main streets.

Also I'd like to take a moment to say.. USAA you are the best company on the planet.
I lost my iPod nano 4g 16gb - i'd just bought the week before - when I was on vaca last week. I called to see if it was covered under my insurance by any chance - and low and behold, it was, under my renters/computer coverage, no deductable, no claim/receipt/crap required. 5 minutes later, after a very pleasant phone call, you've already deposited the full amount I paid + tax to my checking account.
And a coworker gave me an iPod touch for xmas today. Double win. |

Tonight we've got our monthly electro party! It just won best friday night in Boston in the WeeklyDig readers choice '08 awards!

We carved pumpkins. If you haven't been come check it out. I'm on visuals all night on the massive indoor/outdoor projection screen. It's all electro, dance, party music, my fav party in boston! (They also have bomb ass sushi till 1am!)

Hello,
I'm going to Orlando and then Miami for the 22-27th for a "working" vacation and I need someone to check in/play with and feed sleepy daily while I'm gone.
If anyones gonna be around and available, please drop me a line. I can take her to my moms but I'm not sure how she'd get along with my moms cat, so i know she'd prefer to stay here.
I have tons of movies, a big tv, lots of game systems/games, and you'll have access to them all week. I'll also treat you to a nice dinner somewhere when I return, your pick (Skot and Rachel, i still owe you one from last time!)
Otherwise everything's good, been working a ton, which is nice, finished up one contract last week, new one - proposal sent, awaiting final response, this one will be full time for 3-4 months. Between working full time and a full time contract I've had considerably less time to see friends lately, but I'll try to swing out once or twice a week for an hour or two to my usual haunts, as possible over the summer.
Had an all day seminar on Thursday on Getting Things Done and while at the time I mocked it as a waste of a day I could have actually been getting things done... I've actually been able to apply it to both work and life since. |
